Bosch Dining Experience

Bosch Dining Experience

Yum is all I can say about the Bosch event that I was invited to at their brand experience centre in Cape Town. We were so spoilt and the day was so much fun! It started off with welcome drinks in the studio of the Bosch Dining Experience… These were the delicious non-alcoholic gin and tonics from VerGin. Judging by the laughter and shrieks in the room it sounded like there was alcohol in it but maybe that is what naturally happens when you put a whole group of mommy bloggers together.

We then went up to the kitchen and all sat down at the beautifully laid table and tucked into the cheese and charcuterie board, this time the wine did contain alcohol! There was red and white and every variety to choose from. We were soon groaning from the amount of delicious food we had! and then it was our turn to cook! Yes, you guessed it we cooked our mains. After a glass or two of wine, I decided I needed help in the cooking department and so grabbed Grace Stevens the TV chef to be my partner. We were so lucky to be able to cook on all the hi-tech beautiful Bosch appliances. I definitely have my eye on the Bosch kettle and Bosch blender. I have never seen such sophisticated small appliances. And I think Grace may have tried to smuggle the Bosch induction stove and oven out in her handbag. Good thing big handbags are in vogue. We each cooked a salmon en papillote with crisp vegetables, pan-fried baby potatoes and a lemon and cream sauce. D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S! We then all sat around the table and ate our lunch…with a bit more wine. Lauren from Bosch then came over and talked us through the appliances we had used and gave us a low down on the Bosch Studio venue. You can book your own dining experience there, either using one of their chefs or bring your own. How awesome for a team building experience! Please take me if you do hint hint. We were all dreaming up fun events to have there.

Then dessert came. Ooooh la la. It was a macaron with chocolate mousse and a chocolate brownie with homemade ice cream. It was all plated so beautifully that it almost looked too good to eat. Almost. so eat it we did, with some more wine and laughter. Even though the kitchen and showroom are so hi-tech there is such a fun relaxed feeling about the place offset by the amazing view of Table Mountain.

Also, the showroom is a dream if you are thinking of upgrading your kitchen, you can just pop in there and they are so knowledgeable and can help you to decide what appliances you will need.

What a beautiful day we were all treated to and on top of that got to go home with a gorgeous goodie bag. Well done Bosch!
