I was lucky enough to get some comps to go and try out The Kids Gym in Sable Square.
Well I was blown away! What an amazing concept. For R140 your child has a group training session with all their equipment and a qualified trainer. And an hour free play in the fully equipped play area. While moms and dads relax and have a cup of coffee or something yummy to eat in the cafe which has the thing we all want, unlimited free WIFI.
I took Lisa and Olly along with Elijah and I. Sometimes when those boys are together things get very spirited and energetic so I was a bit concerned how they were going to behave with their trainer. Well I should not have worried. I am not sure what their trainer said to them at the start of the session but those little boys were as good as gold. They loved every aspect of the session and listened and did their best. And their best was incredible!
We met one of the owners Janet and I could tell how hands on and passionate she is about The Kids Gym. This is what they have to say about The Kids Gym.
“The Kids Gym aims to encourage EVERY child regardless of their ability, to be active and embrace exercise and fitness as a lifestyle option.
The Kids Gym offers to children what is otherwise only offered to adults by a variety of suppliers – the opportunity to exercise as and when it suits them in a sophisticated & technologically advanced venue. The Kids Gym caters for kids between 18 months & 15 years old.
At The Kids Gym, children will enjoy fun-filled and life enhancing activities that underpin a healthy and functional life.
The Kids Gym offer’s a non-competitive, non-judgemental environment for ALL kids to find their “zone”.
All sessions are under the supervision/instruction of trainers who deliver age appropriate programmes so that the important physical stepping stones are developed. Our staff are trained to be role models with strong values and have the skills to execute our programs ensuring that the children are kept excited, motivated and safe.
We aim to nurture not only physical literacy, but also emotional development.
The Kids Gym will provide turn-key holistic services in support of the overall wellness and development of every child whether they have special needs or special talents.”
The gym is so organized and not overly loud with bright lights like some other play areas and in actual fact has a lot of natural light streaming in which I loved. Lisa and I managed to have a lovely catch up while we knew our boys were being very well looked after. This really is a place that I would highly recommend and shall definitely be going back. Now if only they would open up one a bit closer to home and then I would sign up as a monthly member. And the early bedtime after Elijah’s workout was just the best for me.
5 people stand a chance of each winning a combo voucher. That is an hour of gym plus an hour of play.
