Aventure Clubs

Aventure Clubs

I’m bored! Is that something you hear quite often coming out of the mouths of your little ones? Are you at a loss of what to do with your kiddies? Especially in the holidays? The you obviously have not heard of Adventure Clubs. Adventure Clubs is a free simple app that you download on your phone. It picks up the area you are in and then gives you a calendar list of all the adventures happening nearest to you. You choose what you like, book and pay and hey presto you have an adventure to do with your kiddies while meeting like-minded mums and making cherished memories with the kiddos. Ideal for mum’s with kids age 6 months to 10 years old.

Since moving back to Cape Town Elijah and I have been on a few adventures with Adventure Clubs, our favorites being baking at Vovo Telo in Steenberg and in actual fact we are booked in to make a gingerbread house there together later on this month. We can not wait! I have met such lovely people through Adventure Clubs and I literally grab my mum friends phones and download the app for them. The adventures are always limited to the amount of children that can book so as not to be a crazy, loud gathering of children.

Last Friday we decided to go to a book reading adventure Book Club:Chasing Tales at the Vineyard Hotel. I just love the hotel and the gardens are just spectacular for little ones to play in. Elijah had never been and I was so excited to see his reaction when he saw the big old, famous tortoise. He wasn’t so sure as he told me the tortoise did not like him and went to sleep.

We arrived early for our free play time and everyone was so relaxed and just chilled out on the grass by the river under the trees while the little ones got to know each other. Yourinde our leader handed out the book “The Smartest Giant In Town” by Julia Donaldson for everyone which we also got to take home to enjoy. We love Julia Donaldson books but luckily we did not have this one at home. Yourinde read to us while the children sat so nicely around her listening intently. Next she handed out the delightfully illustrated book “One Of A Kind”. A few of the kids were a bit restless by this stage so we just went through the book by ourselves enjoying the beautiful setting and some delicious coffee from The Vineyard Hotel. There was a heat wave on but sitting under the trees with the river flowing past cooled us all down. This really was a morning well spent plus we got to take the two books home with us to keep and carry on enjoying the magic.

If you do not already have the Adventure Club app I would seriously consider downloading it that is if I don’t see you first and put it on your phone! The adventures are not limited to mum’s, dad’s, granny and grandpa and all care givers can take the little ones. The one we did cost R160 and we got two beautiful books out of it. I hope I see you at the next one.

I have a R300 voucher for Adventure Clubs to give to one of you. All you have to do is follow the T’s and C’s below.
