Our Little Get Away In Sea Point

Our Little Get Away In Sea Point

We went to Vegas baby! For a weekend. Not really but kind of. Lisa and Olly from the One Modern Mom fame, Elijah and I got to test out a newly vamped up apartment (palace) in Sea Point called Flamingo. The decor has been inspired by the Los Vegas Flamingo. And we all had a (disco) ball.

The apartment is huge, the accommodation very generous and it is fully equipped with everything you may need for a stay away from home. There are four double bedrooms with bathrooms en suite. The main bedroom has a king size bed and a single and the other three bedrooms are not much smaller. Lisa and Olly took the main en suite which even boasts a sauna and Elijah and I have one of the en suite rooms upstairs to share.

The boys were so excited to be spending the weekend together that they were literally bouncing off the walls, luckily there was nothing in the apartment that those small boys could break so bounce away they did. The couches could be wiped down and the floors are tiled.

Flamingo is above Nona Lina an Italian eatery and The Dairy Den. If you would like to order food from Nona Lina guests at Flamingo receive a hearty discount but what I loved was each guest staying at Flamingo got a voucher for a coffee and donut from The Dairy Den. We sure made use of those. Two hungry three-year olds can sure go through a lot of donuts especially as they were so delicious. But if you rather fancy cooking your own meals the kitchen is very well equipped.

There was an abundance of tv’s which I relaxed my no tv rule as we were out exploring the exciting surrounding area and when we arrived back to our apartment it was quite nice to plonk the boys in front of one of the tvs while we made their supper.

We all really had a wonderful stay and can not wait to go back. Elijah keeps asking when we are going back to “our holiday house” in San Point, after he ask me where the point is. Three year olds are the best!
